Exceptionally talented and creative beyond compare , Prajakta's passion is dance , singing , art and poetry. Versatile , charming , diligent....you don't need these adjectives to describe her....one look at her expressive features and her ability to emote effortlessly , and you know her mettle.

Prajakta is professionally trained in Bharatnatyam , having completed her Arangetram and Visharad. She has also completed B.A. and M.A. in Performing Arts from Lalit Kala Kendra , Pune University and was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the Ministry of Culture , for higher studies in Bharatnatyam....awarded to only 20 students a year in India.

Prajakta has been participating in theatre since an early age. Acting came naturally to her. She has done innumerable Anchoring and Televised programs on Zee Marathi , Mi Marathi , STAR Pravah , Colors Marathi , Saam Marathi. Her first movie 'Taandala - Ek mukhavta" , saw her as the female lead in flashback. Movies like 'Kho-Kho'-Directed By Kedar Shinde , 'Sangharsh' , 'Mhais' as a Choreographer , 'Golaberij' (Performed Lavani) followed.

She has done some daily soaps like 'Julun Yeti Reshimgathi (Zee Marathi) main female lead - Meghana Kudalkar' , 'Suvasini (Star pravah) main female lead - Saavi' , 'Bandh Reshmache (Star pravah) main female lead - Aditi' , 'Phiruni Navin Janmen Mee – Mi Marathi' , 'Good Morning Maharashtra (Host – Zee Marathi)' , 'Gane Tumache Aamache (Host – ETV Marathi)' , 'Sugaran (Saam Marathi)' .

Also performed in balnatya like 'Nimma-Shimma Rakshas main female lead - Queen of Bagdhad' , 'Shivaputra Shambhuraje main female lead - Rani Yeshubai', Pleasant Surprise - By Suyog Production.

Her penchant for challenges inspires her to work with Artistic and Commercial movies in Marathi, Hindi , Tamil , Telugu , Malayalam , Bengali and other regional languages. She loves to explore new cultures , places , people , and is quite the travel bug.

Spirited and ambitious , Prajakta wants her world to be full of learning , imagination and magical experiences....A Stage where she can showcase every ounce of the actor she was born to be.

She is a versatile actor who approaches each role with great attention to detail. She is also a positive and energetic team person who brings vitality to every project she is associated with.

Nrutyangan

Born with a natural talent for dance in all forms, Prajakta is professionally trained in the classical dance form of Bharatnatyam, having completed her Arangetram while in her 9th Std and Dance Visharad while in the 11th Std. She has trained under the expert patronage of guru Sau. Swati Tai Datar and guru Shree. Parimal Phadke.

She has also completed her Arangetram, Dance Visharad and B.A. , M.A. in Performing Arts from Lalit kala Kendra , Pune University. She was awarded a government scholarship by the Ministry of Culture for pursuing higher studies in Bharatnatyam, given to only 20 students in a year. Her dedication towards this art form drives her to reach higher standards, wanting to pursue a P.H.D. in Bharatnatyam.

Prajakta founded the Nrityangan Academy on 1st May, 2005. It has 5 branches at present, training over 200 students in classical dance forms. Examinations are conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, and Tilak Maharashtra University.

Prajakta was a finalist in the dance reality show Ekapeksha Ek Apsara Aali, 2013 on Zee Marathi. She also won first place in the talent show "Kya Masti Kya Dhoom' & "Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai' on Star Plus. Other televised dance competitions include her performances on the shows Dholkichya Talavar on Colors Marathi, Dum-Duma-Dum on DD Sahayadri and Boogie Woogie on Sony Entertainment Television. She has performed at various renowned events that include 4 years of performing at the prestigious Pune Festival and 8 years of performing at the Pune Navratri Mahotsav and Police Kartavya Melava. Televised events include Manacha Mujra, Nilu Phule Sammaan, Marathi Taraka, Ashtanayika , Shahari Bana ,ZEE Marathi Award and ZEE Gaurav.

Prajakta has travelled extensively for her dance performances, including Qutar has also participated in the 2015 L.A.(Los of Angeles) convention of the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal (BMM) of North America.

Dance has helped Prajakta to give an extra edge to her acting skills, which can vary from serious to comic, strong to sentimental, realistic to mythical...her knowledge of expressions and character portrayal in dance, helping her at every step. She is able to empathize and do more than justice to all her roles.

Though trained in Classical Indian dance, Prajakta is passionate about all forms of dance and is even proficient in choreography. She even dreams of assisting with a dance production one day.
